Fred. Olsen Donates £50,000 to the RNLI – Cruise Business Information


Fred. Olsen Cruise Strains has introduced a major achievement in its long-standing partnership with the Royal Nationwide Lifeboat Establishment (RNLI), having raised £50,000 in 2023. In accordance with a press launch, this contribution exceeds their preliminary goal by £10,000

In 2019, Fred. Olsen Cruise Strains funded the Pleasure of Fred. Olsen and the Spirit of Fred. Olsen lifeboats. The Spirit of Fred. Olsen was launched in April 2012 in Kyle of Lochalsh, Scotland, with friends waving from the Balmoral in June because it handed the Kyle of Lochalsh RNLI lifeboat station.

This launch coincided with Fred. Olsen Cruise Strains’ one hundred and seventieth birthday and 50 years of partnership with the RNLI, elevating £170,000 for the aid lifeboat, an Atlantic 85. The lifeboat’s title was chosen by Fred. Olsen Cruise Strains’ friends in a contest onboard its smaller-sized ships.
